Effect of Deficit Irrigation Applications on Plant Leaf Nutrition Elements of Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.)

摘要
Aim of this study was to determine effect of deficit irrigation applications on cotton yield and plant nutrients in the stonville 468 cotton variety. This study was conducted in 2016 in East Mediterranean Transitional Zone Agricultural Research of Institute. The study was conducted as a randomized plot design with 4 irrigation applications (S-100, S-75, S-50, S-0), replicated 3 times. Plant water consumption was found to be 1037 mm (S-100), 815 mm (S-75), 720 mm (S-50) and 203 mm (S-0). For irrigation applications, seed yield of cotton were 481.1 kg da(-1) (S-100), 405.7 kg da(-1) (S-75), 213.5 kg da(-1) (S-50) and 106.3 kg da(-1) (S-0). Results of elemental analysis on leaf samples taken during flowering; N is 2.58-3.39%, P is 0.15-0.19%, K is 0.50-0.88%, Ca is 3.24-4.77%, Mg is 0.61.22%, Fe is 293.8-514.2 mg kg(-1), Zn is 16.22-14.82 mg kg(-1), Mn is 44.18-46.42 mg kg(-1), and Cu was found between 2.95-4.40 mg kg(-1). In the study, statistically significant differences were observed between the effect of different irrigation practices on the intake of macro and micro nutrients of cotton plant.
