摘要
Brown stem rot caused by Phialophora gregata (Allington and Chamberlain) W. Gams can cause substantial yield reduction in soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.]. Resistance to brown stem rot has been identified in a number of plant introductions, breeding lines, and soybean cultivars and is being utilized by many soybean breeders, Understanding the inheritance of brown stem rot resistance in beneficial breeding material is necessary to facilitate the development of breeding schemes, Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the inheritance of brown stem rot resistance in soybean cultivar BSR 101, which is derived from Pl 84946-2, Data from F-2 plants, F-3 plants, and F-2:3 families, indicate that BSR 101 contains a single dominant gene that is allelic to the Rbs3 gene identified in Pl 437970, Results also suggest that BSR 101 may contain an additional modifier gene for brown stem rot resistance,
