ASYMPTOTIC SOLUTION OF A PROBLEM IN THE IGNITION OF A HOT FUEL BY A THERMAL FLUX OF CONSTANT INTENSITY

摘要
An asymptotic solution of a problem concerning the ignition of a fuel-gas mixture which fills the half space x greater-than-or-equal-to 0 by a thermal flux of constant intensity, applied to the boundary x = 0 from the instant of time t = 0, is constructed. Relationships are established for calculating the shock-wave parameters as a function of the calorific capacity of the mixture, the kinetics of the combustion reaction and the magnitude of the thermal flux which is applied.
