摘要
Administration of the Kampo medicine, TJ-23, to ovariectomized rats resulted in decreased tyrosis hydroxylase (TH) activity in the dorsal hippocampus but an increased activity in the ventral tegmental area. A decrease of TH activity in the hypothalamus was not statistically significant. The effect of TJ-23 was compared to oestrogen in a similar group of rats and it was concluded that the standard drug and TJ-23 induced similar effects.
