On 24/09/2010, United Nations extended, by three years, the mandate of Raquel Rolnik, "Special Rapporteur on adequate housing as an integral component of the right to an adequate standard of living, and on the right to nondiscrimination in this context". None of the main Spanish newspapers picked up the news. Not surprising, since the continuation or termination of the contract of an officer of an international organization is hardly remarkable. However, no mention of the content of her latest report was made, despite dealing with an issue that concerns us: the dramatic housing situation of more than 200 million migrants worldwide. Something similar happened with the earlier reports. It is unfortunate that this happens, because they are basic documents towards attaining the understanding current habitat. Given this ignorance and disinterest, the aim of this paper is to present the objectives and scope of the aforementioned Special Rapporteur.
