摘要
The information theory approach develops a non-parametric method of estimating the true probability distribution underlying a given set of statistical data. It has been applied frequently in econometric research in estimating lag distributions and in choosing prior distributions in a Bayesian framework. Here it is applied in the context of estimating an efficient production surface from a set of input-output data.
