For the improvement of the Journal of the Geological Society of Korea

Korean papers published in the Journal of the Geological Society of Korea are discussed in terms of well written form and in good Korean. Paper itself as well as caption and references are mainly focused in discussing. It should be understood that abstract is different from conclusions. Balance in terms of wording and pictorial presentation are required in review papers. A good understanding and objective evaluation are necessary for our Korean language by us, Korean. Therefore, it is proposed that caption in Korean should be added to the English-only caption, and be followed by it. A new method of references is also proposed. Review of papers and response to the review are discussed. A couple of our Korean words of being liable to different understanding as well as few Korean ones undesirable for scientific papers are exemplified.
