摘要
Determination of moment configuration factors for timber beams is a current research topic. Several researchers have obtained such factors that may be used in converting characteristic strengths under a reference moment configuration to those under different configurations. This paper presents a reliability-based moment configuration factor and compares it with that based on the characteristic strength. For the cases considered, the former is shown to provide factors always less than those provided by the latter.
