摘要
Certain key acoustic imaging parameters such as target velocity and range, sound velocity, and sound attenuation, are often not available with precision. The images formed with erroneous parameters, suffer from degradation in resolution and dynamic range. Objective criteria for evaluating the quality of acoustic images enable us to search the parameter space so that the optimal acoustic images can be formed. In this paper, two such criteria, image contrast and image entropy, are successfully applied to the estimation of the depth of features imaged in holographic acoustic microscopy.
