ELECTRON-SPIN-RESONANCE OF SHALLOW DONORS IN QUANTUM-WELLS - HYDROGENIC MODEL

A calculation is reported of the nature of the ESR spectrum of a hydrogenic impurity in a quantum well. The dependences of the constant of the hyperfine interaction between electrons and impurity nuclei on the position of an impurity in a quantum well, on the width of the well, and on the angle between the normal to the well wall and the magnetic field direction are determined. The ESR spectrum is calculated for shallow donors distributed at random in quantum wells with certain specific values of the width. These calculations are used to propose the parameters and type of the structure which ensure the conditions necessary for the experimental observation of modifications in the ESR spectrum of shallow donors in a quantum well.
