Underwater panoramic image mosaic technology based on improved genetic algorithm

In the process of the research on the underwater panoramic image mosaic technology, as the current algorithm is used to carry out underwater panoramic image mosaic, it is difficult to resist the strong absorption and scattering characteristics of the water medium to light, it has the problem of imaging difficulties in underwater panoramic images. To this end, a new method based on the improved genetic algorithm is proposed for underwater panoramic image mosaic. In this method, the underwater image is enhanced by genetic algorithm firstly. The different sampling point's distance of image is sampled to form a hierarchical structure of Pyramid image, and the image is filtered by Gauss kernel function. The pixels of panoramic image sample are compared with 26 adjacent pixels. According to the feature points extracted from the image, the feature vector and its direction and amplitude are calculated, furthermore, based on this, the image matching and stitching are completed, on this basis, the use of weighted smoothing fusion method for underwater panoramic image after stitching is used to make effective integration. The simulation results show that the method of underwater panoramic image mosaic based on improved genetic algorithm has better quality and efficiency.
