摘要
The electrical conductivity of vandium phosphate glasses depends on the relative concentration of V4+ and V5+ ions. It is found that the addition of CuO, which acts as an oxidizing agent, alters the ratio of concentration of vandium ions and thus the conductivity is decreased with increasing the CuO content. The I-V measurements showed an ohmic behaviour at room temperature at fields below 4 x 10(3) V cm-1. With increasing temperature, the I-V characteristics become non-ohmic. The conductivity measurements have revealed an electronic conduction phenomenon in the glasses.
