摘要
A new method for extraction spectrophotometric determination of acrylonitrile is proposed. Acrylonitrile is absorbed in dilute KMnO4 whereby it is oxidized to cyanide, which reacts with brominc and pyridine to form glutaconic aldehyde. The glutaconic aldehyde formed is subsequently coupled with p-aminobenzoic acid to give a yellow orange dye extractable in n-butanol. Beer's law is obeyed in the range of 0.5-5.0 mug of acrylonitrile in 25 ml of final solution at 410 nm. The method has been applied for determination of acrylonitrile in air and biological samples.
