Evasion in higher education: mapping undergraduate courses at the Federal University of Goias

摘要
We have developed a qualitative-quantitative research on the droupout of undergraduate courses in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry of the Federal University of Goias (UFG). In this article, we consider droupout/evaded the student who leaves/quit of the course which is registered before you complete it. The main objective of this study was to measure and understand the reality of Evasion in UFG presential undergraduate courses. In order to reach the objective of the study, the evasion calculations were carried out from 2014 to 2016, using three formulas: 1) CEEE, 2) FORPLAD and 3) COGRAD/ANDIFES. In order to obtain data, as a data collection instrument, four questionnaires (validated instruments) were applied, with open and closed questions. The data obtained through the questionnaires were tabulated and exposed for the purpose of comparison between the groups involved in the teaching-learning process. Among the main reasons that led the students to leave the course were: Teachers, Coordination, Teaching and Lessons. It is concluded that the academic trajectory is defined from a social point of view, students do not choose the course by vocation, but by exogenous influences or other reasons as mentioned above in personal and / or professional relationships.
