CELIAC-DISEASE

Another interesting year has passed in the field of celiac disease. The articles published have varied from the study of the disease epidemiology to ascertain possible environmental triggering agents, to questions asked regarding the concept of disease latency. Several reports have detailed the isolation of gliadin-specific T cells and published studies have examined both the in vitro and in vivo effects of individual gliadin peptides. A total of 282 reports and letters were published, some of which are reviewed in this article.
