The body and social inequalities: the spiral of social reproduction

This article is part of the problem of the body and the social reproduction. In considering the body as a social construction, we believe this also stems from the unequal relations that characterize today's society. We will start from the findings of the fieldwork of a degree thesis in Sociology, to think about how social inequalities are reproduced through the body. We will analyze the notions of body that come into play in everyday life of the people consulted and their uses of it in relation to work. In turn, we will address the topic in connection with what we have called hegemonic body, and the implications of this for social reproduction.
