NOVELS AS CASE-STUDY MATERIALS FOR PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS

This article describes a writing assignment based on the main character of a novel, an autobiography, or a biography about mental illness. Students are asked to describe the character's symptoms and the treatment received, to provide a diagnosis, and to suggest a treatment plan.
