摘要：
The STEP Data Access Interface (SDAI) is a specification proposed by ISO as part of an attempt to provide a mechanism for the exchange and sharing of product data. SDAI provides a means by which applications using product data can be isolated from the data storage technology. This paper reports on work involving the implementation of SDAI on object-oriented database technology (OODB). This work was carried out on OODB products using two different hardware platforms. Details of the implementation of the SDAI proposals are discussed and the basic support required by an object-oriented database is outlined.
