摘要
This article proposes an interpretation of new archaeological data which, in our opinion a) confirm that Fuerteventura and Lanzarote (Canary Islands) were included in the exploration and exploitation of the Atlantic undertaken by Levantine Mediterranean from the end of the second millennium B.C. onwars, and b) support the hypothesis that said islands are "the two Hesperides islands" of the Atlantic mentioned by Pliny the Elder in his description of the coast of the Ethiopian sea in his Naturalis historia (nat. 6.201), as we have already suggested (Santana et al., 2002).
