Challenges in urban transport and mobility management and planning in Argentine cities

This paper describes transport management experiences in a series of Argentinean local governments. First, we analyze the most common or traditional management approaches and secondly, we discuss new institutional and management transport and mobility needs for the future. This analysis accounts for the demographic and socioterritorial transformations occurred in recent years. The study also provides guidelines for debate on the possibilities of adapting to respond to new needs and dynamics of everyday mobility.
