Temperature dependence of high-energy atoms density in the crystal with NaCl structure

摘要
Density of high-energy atoms was calculated at different temperatures for the crystals with NaCl structure with equal and considerably different atomic masses of anions and cations. It was demonstrated that in the crystal with equal masses of anions and cations the density of high-energy atoms is almost constant within the studied temperature range. In the crystal with considerably different masses of anions and cations the density of high-energy atoms increases with increase in temperature. This can be explained by spontaneous excitation of gap discrete breathers in this crystal at thermal equilibrium.
