摘要：
By means of X-ray diffraction, a single crystal of BaMgFe6O11 Y-type hexagonal ferrite has been studied at room-temperature. The amount of Mg2+ cation/fu. is 0.70(1) instead of 1 leading to the presence of Fe2+. These Mg2+ cations are located in all the sites of the structure except in the (6c(IV)) octahedral site of the T-block, with a marked preference (approximately 58%) for the (18h(VI)) octahedral site at the T-S blocks boundary.
