摘要：

A new improved double sampling regression type estimator using auxiliary information is proposed for the estimation of population mean of study variable. To the first degree of approximations, the bias and mean square error of the proposed estimator have been discussed. The optimum value of the mean squared error has been obtained. In addition an empirical study is used in order to access the performance of the new proposed estimator.
