New guidelines on myocardial revascularization. The surgeon's point of view

摘要：
The new guidelines for clinical practice of myocardial revascularization show a philosophical and ethical change in the treatment of coronary disease. They recommend surgical treatment for the left main and three coronary vessels with proximal left anterior descending. The ad hoc coronary angiography is only indicated in patients with unstable angina, in the remaining cases, the patients should have to be given time to choose their treatment, advised by the heart team. Cardiovascular surgeons and scientific societies must demand adherence and defense of the application of new guidelines for myocardial revascularization.
