SUPERCONDUCTING HIGH-POWER AC CABLE - DEVELOPMENT AND PERFORMANCE OF A SINGLE-PHASE TERMINATION

摘要
A single-phase termination of a superconducting ac cable has been designed, constructed and successfully tested. Three parallel terminations are capable of transferring the full load of 2000 MVA at 110 kV from ambient to helium temperature. Boiling helium for cooling the filamentary copper current leads and supercritical helium for cooling the cable core from ground to high voltage potential are fed into the termination.
