摘要
Ion chromatography is one of the analytical techniques that has been approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the determination of inorganic ions such as nitrite and nitrate-in-drinking water. Advantages of ion chromatography methodology include separation before detection, increased sensitivity, simple sample preparation, and faster analysis time compared to non-chromatography techniques. This paper offers a discussion of approved ion chromatography methods 300.0 and B-1011 as well as other methods that are being currently reviewed and also new methodologies for the future.
