ENVIRONMENTAL LEGISLATION IN THE PRODUCTION OF RICE IRRIGATED OF THE REGION OF THE ALTO VALE DO ITAJAI-SC

This work had for objective to promote an environmental evaluation and input the culture of the rice into environmental legislation. The study region understands the high valley of Itajai State of the Santa Catarina, where beyond the rice the cultures of the tobacco, onion and maize predominate. The system of culture of the rice is the irrigated with daily pre germinated culture. The sources of opinions referring this subject are diverse, however, without taking in consideration the reality local. The culture of the rice occurs mainly in areas of lowered next to the rivers and courses of the water had the relief conditions and great water availability. Some pesticides are used that contaminate waters and the environment. The approach average of the areas cultivated with rice reaches about 16% of the APPs and in certain cities they occupy 90% of the areas of permanent preservation. Necessary if it makes a work of environmental education and clarifications on norms and behaviors marked out with buoys for resolutions that preserve the environment.
