摘要：

My purpose in this paper is to analyze the existing conexion between values pluralism and tragic conflicts in Isaiah Berlin's work. The essay will be divided in three sections. Firstly, I will consider some of the main philosophical topics of Berlin's thought. Secondly, I will contrast some of these topics with the vision that Ronald Dworkin offered about them in a recent paper. Finally, I will connect some ideas of Berlin's liberal perspective with the idea of institutional design.
