摘要
A 4.5-month-old female Dalmatian was presented for evaluation of episodic dementia and circling. Serum sodium and chloride concentrations were profoundly increased. Despite being alert, the dog exhibited no thirst Exogenous ADH response testing suggested central diabetes insipidus. Nuclear imaging of the cranial cavity and cisternal cerebrospinal fluid analysis were normal. Necropsy examination revealed an extensive malformation of the midline structures of the frontal lobes and rostral diencephalon. A congenital abnormality is suspected.
