Evaluation and Lessons Learned from a Colombian Experience Regarding Training of Teachers on ICT

摘要
The training of teachers on ICT of the program called "Computadores para Educar" (Computers for Educating), is the experience of this type having the widest coverage in Colombia and is guided by universities which have interests in research and innovation about ICT in education. This article presents the results of the evaluation performed within this experience; an evaluation aimed to unveil learning experiences which could contribute to the processes of initial training for teachers on ICT. In order to achieve this we formulated an evaluation model that would allow performing a quantitative and qualitative analysis by applying individual and group consultation techniques, in terms of six dimensions that involve the experience and learning of teachers. Most of the teachers performed their first approach to integration of ICT during their teaching practice. From the analysis performed on the results and conclusions, a group of features to be considered for an initial training in ICT have been identified.
