SIMPLE MICROWAVE TECHNIQUE FOR MEASURING THE DIELECTRIC PARAMETERS OF SOLIDS AND THEIR POWDERS

摘要
A simple method for measuring the dielectric parameters of materials in the form of powders at microwave frequencies is suggested. Measurements on powders of different grain sizes for three samples namely two different varieties of marble and one variety of soap stone are reported at 9.921 GHz. The results are found to be in good agreement with the values reported in the literature. The method is also found suitable for solids.
