摘要
Calculation of numerical density of neurons in ventral part of cat's medial geniculate body (vMGB) was made. It was shown that 1 mm3 of vMGB tissue contains 29 460 neurons. After 6 months from unilateral removal of the auditory cortex the quantity of large (supposedly thalamocortical) neurons in ipsilateral vMGB reduced on average by 78,1 %, but of small ones - only by 10,7 %.
