Global Pentecostalism and Religion in Asia

In this paper I will try to portray an important feature of Christianity and religion in Asia about which relatively little has been written. Pentecostalism has been described as the fastest growing global religion of the 20th century, having grown in only one century to over five hundred million who would identify with it in one of its many different forms, a statistic that is widely quoted but impossible to verify. Nevertheless, its growth rate worldwide is possibly unprecedented in the history of religions and is a remarkable reaction to modernity
