DEPORTATION IN DISARRAY - THE CASE OF EC NATIONALS

This article considers the limits imposed by European Community law on the powers of criminal courts to make recommendations for the deportation of citizens of the European Union following conviction and on the extent of the Home Secretary's discretion to implement those recommendations and to deport offenders on his own initiative.
