摘要
Two new approaches are presented for the design of two-channel perfect-reconstruction FIR filter banks employing linear-phase filters. We first formulate the optimization of perfect-reconstruction filter banks as a quadratic programming problem with linear constraints, and then as one with nonlinear constraints. Closed-form solutions for the first approach, and for the iteration problem in the second approach are obtained. Design examples for both approaches are given.
