摘要
The effect of pressurized aeration on the activated sludge process is investigated in the present study. The COD removal of the wastewater treated under elevated pressure is monitored in terms of the aeration time, operating pressure, sludge/wastewater ratio and temperature. It is found that within the range of parameters studied in the present work, an optimum operating pressure between 3.5 and 9 atm exists in the aeration tank depending on the aeration time and the temperature. Such an optimum operating pressure results in maximum COD removal for the activated sludge system.
