摘要：

The Inuit of today have a very high prevelance of hearing loss due mainly to otitis media and noise exposure. In Nunavik, (Northern Quebec, Canada) for more than twenty-five years, there has been a specialised audiology program which incorporates Inuit hearing specialists. We describe the extent of the hearing problems, some solutions adapted to the north, and the training and role of the Inuit hearing specialists.
