摘要
The degradation of aliphatic polyesters were investigated in dependence on the chemical polymer structure and the matrix form. The macroscopic rate of polyester degradation is determined by the chemical kinetics of ester hydrolysis and the rate of mass transport processes in the polymeric matrix. Important chemical factors of the biodegradation are the ratio of cleavable ester bonds to stable bonds as well as the accessibility, of cleavable bonds by water.
