摘要
Cotton linters was irradiated by a Co-60 source with various doses (5-52 Mrad). The effect of gamma-irradiation on the grafting of cotton linters with methyl methacrylate monomer (MMA) is clarified. The crystallinity index (Cr I) of irradiated samples decreases with increasing radiation dose. A new band appears at 1715 cm-1 (C = O) after irradiation. On the other hand band intensities are increased at 1600 cm-1 (RCOO) and decreased at 3350 cm-1 (OH) by irradiation.
