摘要
A systematic assessment of care taken by a therapeutic team towards a patient seems to be an opportunity to improve the whole system of health protection and its individual components. The fact that a patient has easy and satisfactory access to medical service and care of the highest quality contributes significantly to gaining immense satisfaction from medical care. Such patient satisfaction is expressed by emotional and cognitive states resulting from the realization of medical and emotional needs fulfilled by medical staff. This contentment also stems from solving of patients' problems. The presented study aimed to assess selected aspects of satisfaction drawn from hospitalization of patients in operative departments. The investigation was carried out in the years 2006-2007 and encompassed 70 hospitalized patients in the Clinic of General and Transplant Surgery, Clinic of Children's Neurosurgery SP SK No. 4, and the Clinic Of Vessel Surgery SP SK No. 1 in Lublin. To evaluate the satisfaction of care, a questionnaire of hospital stay satisfaction was used. The investigation carried out revealed that a vast majority of patients treated in medical units were contented with the hotel-like conditions offered by hospitals. They seemed content with rest, rooms, hygiene and quality and number of meals.
