THE MOTION-PICTURE INDUSTRY AND TECHNOLOGY IN THE USSR

The development of cine technology in the USSR is governed at present by the wide interests of the motion-picture industry. The industry is developing and manufacturing improved cameras, camera lenses, lighting equipment, sound recorders and reproducers, release printers, and cine-projectors. Ways of improving cinema economics are being developed to help stimulate the continued growth and improvement of the cinema. The USSR is broadening its international activity in the purchasing of foreign equipment and in film coproductions.
