DIFFRACTION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC-WAVES BY A LOCALLY NONHOMOGENEOUS BODY AND SINGULAR INTEGRAL-EQUATIONS

The solvability of volume singular equations describing three-dimensional problems of the diffraction of electromagnetic waves by a locally non-homogeneous anisotropic body is investigated. The conditions for the existence of classical solutions are obtained for problems of diffraction by a locally non-homogeneous isotropic body. A numerical method of solving these integral equations is described and the convergence of the approximate solution to the exact solution is proved by Galerkin's method.
