摘要
This paper describes an on-going research programme initiated to provide laboratory experimental data sets which can be used to evaluate mathematical models for atmospheric dispersion of liquefied natural gas (LNG) vapour. Experiments have been designed to produce data for the evaluation of model predictions of the dispersion of LNG vapour released from the partial confinement of a diked tank storage facility. Gas concentrations and turbulent velocities are measured for comparison with predictions of three-dimensional numerical models, and the data will be used to evaluate the FEM3A dispersion model for such applications. The experimental facility designed for the research programme and sample data are described.
