摘要
Raman spectra of acetic, propionic, and n-butyric acids in aqueous solution at 25°C were measured. The spectra were resolved with a band-fitting programs into several kinds of associated (hydrogen bonded) species. Dimerization constants for the monomer-dimer equilibrium, KD, of the acids were calculated from the normalized band area. KD of these solutions decreased with increasing concentration in the range 0.03-0.3 mol fraction. The contribution of hydrophobic interaction to the KD was discussed. © 1990 American Chemical Society.
