SUBMITTING ARTICLES ON FLOPPY DISK

With the increasing use of word processors to store information and to prepare text, many contributors to science journals are now in a position to submit articles on disk. But are publishers ready for the revolution? Existing contracts and working methods cannot always be changed overnight. The journal staff at the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) in Cambridge have received many enquiries from authors on this subject and investigations have been made about the problems and benefits of disk submission.
