PRESSURE STANDARDS FOR CRITICAL MEASUREMENTS

Many different factors must be considered when selecting a pressure standard. The customer must consider the requirements and ambient temperature variations associated with the task to be performed, the overall accuracy of the pressure standard required for the application, and any specific application requirements such as test fluid, pressure range and portability. Most importantly, the customer should consider the cost of inaccurate pressure measurement on the purchase or sale of the product, and the adequacy of the pressure standard to test or adjust safety related systems or for future routine maintenance inspections.
