摘要：
The Carmenere variety was identified in Chile in 1994 by frenchman ampelographer Jean-Michel Boursiquot. Eighteen years later, it has become the emblematic variety producing quality Chilean wines. We present global and national historic background that formed the basis for the idea of his invention with such status and that this process involved to make it a Chilean wine heritage. It discusses briefly the economic impact nationally and globally of this invention, as well as the impact of the variety in the rural landscape of the areas where it is grown
