CROSS-LINKING OF EPDM-RUBBER USING ORGANOSILANES

摘要：
Due to the high stability of the siloxan-bonding and the formation of a poly-functional network, crosslinking EPM/EPDM-rubbers by the use of organosilanes seems to be interesting. In the presented work different types of these rubbers, that differ in their molecular structure, were graft polymerised in a laboratory kneader and then crosslinked. The results of the kneading tests were transmitted for two rubber materials on a co-rotating self-wiping twin screw extruder. Infra-red spectroscopic measurements show the reactions of grafting and crosslinking.
