Using high-T-c supercondutors of the (RE)Ba2Cu3Ox type (where RE are the rare-earth metals) and T1 and Bi ceramics as an example, it has been shown that both the types of materials share the common property, i.e. an anomalous increase in ohmic losses over a certain frequency range, which retains in the normal and the superconducting states. The similarity and distinctions of the anomalous behaviour of the resistance for the normal and superconducting states are described. It has been found that in the frequency range where the anomaly is observed, superconductivity is suppressed; however, in ceramics with a magnetic admixture it is partially restores in a constant magnetic field.
