After a few decades of intense feminist theoretical production, it is a good moment for us to stop and recapitulate. This is so due to the world situation which threatens us with a historical regression in terms of human rights and the Welfare State and also because of the dynamic which is inherent to the critical and reflexive thought that characterizes feminist theory. If we talk about regressions we have to assume there is a certain consensus regarding the fact that there has been some type of progress: In what way have we moved forward and in what way not? What feminist theories and politics have contributed to this progress? The article defends that the specific hard core of a feminist approach is to theorize on whatever unites us. And therefore to modulate what the patriarchal system does to women as women. Only from this assumption it is possible to explain and develop the diversity and intersectionality of the subject of feminism.
